Roos Pals is Postdoc Health Space Design at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. She is based in the Hanze Research Group Facility Management which is embedded in NoorderRuimte, Centre of Research & Innovation for Built Environment. In 2012 Roos has completed her Phd on ‘restorative environments’ at the University of Groningen. The Phd project, commissioned by Zoo Emmen, focused on how physical features of the environment influence restorative or healing experiences. Her current research focusses on the themes: nature and health, evidence based healthcare design and virtual realty as tool for research & design.
